BISE Sargodha was established in 1968 under the BISE Act. This board conducts and control matric and inters exams for the schools and private students belonging to Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali and Bhakkar districts.
Literacy rate in Sargodha is 46.30%. Like every past year, thousands of students have come out in the matric exams of 2011 bise Lahore and now waiting for their matric result. All the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Punjab province will announce matric result on the same date which is 21st July 2011 for this year. According to the results, 64,538 candidates appeared in the matric exam under Sargodha board, of which 41,488 managed to clear the annual examination. About 64.28 per cent of the candidates passed who sat for the exams.
